Summer Box Break for Card Case

The NFL Draft

In the fourth round the Eagles took Matt Barkley from QB USC. Barkley was a four year starter at USC and has the chance to be a steal for the Eagles.

In the second round the Eagles took Zach Ertz a TE from Stanford. Ertz was only the second TE drafted this year and had 69 catches for 898 yards.

In the third round the Eagles took Bennie Logan a DT from LSU.

With the first pick in the draft the Cheifs took Eric Fisher a tackle from Central Michigan.

With the third pick in the draft the Dolphins traded up to get Dion Jordan a DE from Oregon.

The Bills took E.J. Manuel with their first pick.

Topps Five Star

On Christmas Eve I opened a box of Topps Five Star. It is a very nice product.

Today I pulled an Andrew Bynum in his 76ers uniform! The card is from a set called Absolute Basketball. Now we just need him back in action!

BYNUM!!!

WOO-HOO! The 76ers got Andrew Bynum which means they have there first superstar since Allen Iverson.

 

So I found this Bynum autograph numbered to 49.

 

I think I remember getting it and I believe it was a redemption.

 

Call it the Andrew Bynum trade not the Dwight Howard trade.

Nick Foles Inception

I just got this card in the mail today from ebay. It's a Nick Foles jersey card from the great Topps Inception. The Eagles drafted the QB from the University of Arizona in the third round of the draft. Since the season has not started yet the jersey is from the rookie shoot with players in their NFL jerseys. I hope he starts after Michael Vick is done!

Also at Target today I got a box of Prestige Football. I got no hits but I got many Eagles!

This was my favorite one: Fletcher Cox. The first one I have of him in his Eagles jersey.

I also love this one: Nnamdi Asomugha. It is my first Nnamdi in an Eagles uniform.

It's hard to see but I also got ( from left to right) Brent Celek, LeSean McCoy, and Michael Vick.

This is from a previous box. It is a Courtney Upshaw autograph numbered 241/599.

Allen and Ginter Break

I got a box of Allen and Ginter this morning at Target. They weren't bad here were some of the cards I pulled.

What is this? That's what I thought when I saw it. It is someones house. One thing you should know about Allen and Ginter: Sometimes the cards aren't sports.

I'm Back with More Bowman!

Happy July 4th! It has been almost 2 months since I have posted anything so now I am getting caught up. I went to Target this morning and was sad not to see anything new. But after opening this blaster I found I was not sad. A lot has happened: The return of Chase Utley, the rehab of Ryan Howard, and summer beginning.

Here is Bryce Harper. ( You might not be able to see the name because of the black.) He has been the guy everybody has wanted even before he put on a major league jersey. He could win the final vote for the all-star game.

Here is Ryan Howard in one of my favorite Phillies jerseys. He should be back right after the all-star break!

Here is Julio Rodriguez a Phillies prospect who had 16 wins with Clearwater. I had never heard of him before I pulled him.

Here is a cool Bowman's Best insert of #1 overall pick in the 2011 draft Gerrit Cole.

2012 Bowman comes out!

When I went to Target today to look at cards I saw nothing new until Bowman caught my eye. They had no jumbo packs or blaster boxes so I got 3 packs. Take a peek!

Here is a Chase Utley the only Phillie in the three packs. He better come back soon.

This card really made me happy. Gerrit Cole ( pictured) was the number 1 overall pick in last years draft by the Pirates. It is his first time being on a card and is one the pack I showed you.



2012 NFL Draft

The NFL Draft was awesome on Thursday and Friday. Not so much yesterday.

The Eagles had a wonderful draft according to Mel Kiper Jr. so you should be as excited as I am. Here are some cards of my favorite players picked!

Fletcher Cox the Eagles first round pick ( 12th overall) The Eagles defence will be scary with this pick I hope after horrible D last year.

Here is Nick Foles the Eagles third round pick. This year he will hold a clipboard but in a few years could replace Michael Vick!

This is another Nick Foles card in his  Senior Bowl jersey that I found.

Surprise, Surprise it's Linsanity!

You know this guy now but you didn't before. You didn't know him when he played in the Ivy League or when he got his first NBA basket on Halloween night of 2010. Jeremy Lin is setting records left and right for most points in a certain amount of time. He's been famous for 2 weeks and has never cooled off. I just pulled a Jeremy Lin autograph a few minutes ago! It is by far the best card I have ever pulled.  I will post the video later!

Verlander Mini

I was looking through my cards on the on a table when something caught my eye. It was a Justin Verlander mini jersey card! Verlander was the first pitcher to win an MVP award in years. So I thought someday this card will be worth a lot. But right now it is only worth 10 dollars.

Topps Series One

Topps Series One just came out! And there are some really nice cards! One blaster comes with one manufactured retiered number or a manufactured autograph. There is one downside. I am getting a lot of doubles. But this a very nice product. I can hardely stop busting boxes.

Clayton Kershaw, Roy Halladay and, Cliff Lee. The card shows that these pitchers were the top three leaders in ERA in the National League.

Reed Johnson. I Don't even know who he is, I just think the birds surrounding him are funny.

Roy Halladay. He has his picture on the boxes and packs.



Willie McCovey Historical Stitches. This is one of the hits you get in each blaster.



Rodger Maris Historical Stitches.

Sandy Koufax Retired Number. This is also a hit.

Panini Baseball Debut

Recently Panini came out with its first baseball cards ever. They have cards of stars such as 2011 Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw and 2010 MVP Josh Hamilton. However they still don't have an MLB license as a result they do not have new uniforms on. But still  that doesn't take the chance away of pulling a really good autograph!

A New Tradition

This is a really cool card I got from ebay and they're super hard to find. It is a piece of Santa's suit! I also like it because my favorite non-76er Kobe Bryant is on it. I will only have it out for the holidays.  I will next see it on December 1st 2012 when we get out the Christmas stuff.  I thought it would be cool just to have it out for the holidays because next December I will be so happy to see it again!

I had a Plates & Patches box break today, Christmas Eve. The cards are above. My Favorite is the Adrian Peterson jersey. I also like the Riley Cooper and Vernon Davis cards. Also, I got a Dez Bryant redemption.

Topps Update

This is a nice series that came out about 2 weeks ago. I like it because it has the deadline trade players in there new uniforms. Take a look.

You can't get any better than a Hunter Pence Phillies card. It was the second to last card in the pack.
