The Big 3

When Basketball cards came out one of my key goals was to get Miami's big 3. Today in Donruss Basketball cards I got Production Line cards of Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. A few days ago I got LeBron. I had already collected the big 3 once in 2010 Panini Threads, so now I have them twice!

Phantastic Phour

I already made a post of the Phantastic Phour, but they were not all in Phillies jerseys. Roy Oswalt was in an Astros jersey. But today I opened something from ebay and it was Roy Oswalt in a Phillies jersey. Collectors might be eyeing the Phantastic Phour once Topps 2011 comes out which is February 16th, especially Cliff Lee who I got by luck last year in the 2010 Topps Complete set. Now that I already have them, I will look for autographs and jersey cards of them.

Today I opened some football cards. I found this Sam Bradford hit card. This is my first Sam Bradford NFL card. But I have a few Oklahoma cards.

I like Sam Bradford because he went to Oklahoma. He won the 2008 Heisman Trophy. He also was the first pick in the NFL Draft in 2010.

He almost led the Rams to the Playoffs as a rookie.

Sam Bradford is my favorite non-Eagles and non-Patriots player.

My First Error Card

A few weeks ago I got this Michael Vick card. It is probably pretty rare because he is in an Eagles uniform. But the main reason is it's an error card. An error card is a mistake on the card. For example, it could say that a batter bats right handed even though he bats left handed. This error is his team name is wrong. It says in 2009 he played for the Vikings. Error cards are rare because once they find out about the mistake they stop printing that card. This is my first error card.

Yet another time due to snow again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just blogged about the Cliff Lee Phillies card. But I still had his rookie card to blog about. I got this in Avalon for 75 cents. Now that he is back on the Phillies it's probably worth at least $5. When 2011 Topps baseball cards come out I will be looking for a Cliff Lee jersey card or an autographed card. The release date of Topps baseball cards is January 25th.

Lee + Doc = World Series

Who will win the world series this year? Phillies! No question! Well the Phillies have the #1 pitching staff called "The Phantastic Phour." Roy Halladay, Cliff Lee, Roy Oswalt and Cole Hamels. Cliff Lee and Roy Halladay have a chance to be the new Mr. Octobers. Weird how I got a Cliff Lee Phillies card when he had not played even a full year with the Phillies and when the year ended they had traded him to the Mariners. When the season started everybody said the Phillies had made a big mistake trading Lee even for a guy like Halladay. But at the end of the season it was right because they would not have Halladay AND Lee.

I believe that the Phillies will win the World Series.

The Card Show

No school today!

Today I went to a card show at a Holiday Inn. There were a lot of different sellers. I bought some nice cards.


Above is a Terrence Williams card, a Thaddeus Young rookie card and a Marcus Camby college card. Terrence Williams went to Lousville, Marcus Camby went to UMass and the Thaddeus Young card is autographed.



Here are jersey cards of Dr.J and Shaq. The Shaq card was just $3! An awesome price for a jersey card.
Here are two Sam Bradford cards and a Rob Gronkowski jersey card. The Gronkowski jersey card also has part of a football on it and the Sam Bradford card in the middle I got for free!


Finally these cards are just Phillies. I got a Chase Utley hat card, a Roy Halladay " Peak Performance" card from his perfect game and Jesse Biddle the Phillies first round draft pick. It was the first ever hat card I ever got. It's a real Chase Utley hat on the card!

I've opened many good packs but this is my is my best pack! It has Andre Iguodala, Shane Battier, Rudy Gay, Dirk Nowitzki, Paul Milsap, Michael Beasley, Tracy McGrady, Dwight Howard and Derrick Rose. Tracy McGrady and Michael Beasley are in there new jerseys. Plus I have a Sixer in Iguodala. Dirk Nowitzki is a " Century Stars" card.

Bowman, Bowman, Bowman

I have been getting luck with Bowman baseball cards. Today I got Mike Stanton. From what I've heard he is really good. Plus, he is on the box. I also got Stephen Strasburg. He already made his mark with his historical debut. He is a Bowman Chrome. ( A more valuable type of card.) It was funny because I opened the Stanton card first then the very next pack I got Strasburg. I was psyched because I almost decided to open football cards instead.

Jersey Cards

No school due to snow = blogging at 10:30 A.M on a Wednesday!

Jersey cards are my favorite cards. They cut off a piece of their game-worn jersey and put it on a card. How cool is that?!? It isn't just one card brand that does them either. I have one of Peyton Manning and Alonzo Mourning.

The Big Game Tonight

Tonight's national championship is 1 Auburn vs. 2 Oregon. Auburn's whole team is QB Cam Newton while Oregon has many good players such as RB LeMichael James. Auburn is favored by just 3 points but look for an upset tonight by Oregon. It's hard to get collage cards so I made my own cards of Cam Newton and LeMichael James made of paper. Be sure to watch Collage GameDay before the game and the National Championship is on at 8:30 on ESPN.

Best Friends: Miller and Starks

Remember those good old days? Knicks vs. Pacers. Miller vs. Starks. Reggie Miller trash talked a lot so one year Starks got mad and slapped Miller. Starks was ejected. Another year Reggie Miller scored 8 points in the last 9 seconds to win. That was why the rivalry started. But now the Pacers and Knicks are only solid teams. Here are there cards. Everyone will always remember Miller vs. Starks.
